The Tech Experiments team works across Schibsted’s brands to monitor and act on disruptive technology waves that may impact our business or our users expectations.

The team’s ambition is to analyse and understand upcoming technology shifts and turn ideas and concepts into tangible prototypes in an effort to assess potential from a business or user experience perspective.

As a prototyper in Schibsted Tech Experiments, you will work together with a Product Manager in the team and in collaboration with one of our companies, to create and iterate on different levels of prototypes that can be user tested in the wild, to extract learnings and ensure that technology opportunities and threats impacting Schibsted are considered within the organization.

In the past year we have: Experimented with & built prototypes for; blockchain, voice assistants, augmented reality, image recognition, and many other new technologies! 


  • You will join us for 2 months (July-August) in a full time position - the internship is paid.
  • You will be given your own projects/experiments to explore, research and prototype. 
  • You will be given guidance and a senior mentor who will support you through the whole eight weeks.
  • You will be able to apply your knowledge in company projects and experiment with technologies which are new for you.
  • You will learn the full product cycle: breaking down tasks, prototyping (coding, if applicable, or design), testing, gathering insights and iterating, working in an agile process.
  • At the end of the internship period, you will present a summary of the project, what was learnt, potential next steps and findings. 


  • You are curious, like exploring new things and love testing new technologies.
  • You are pragmatic, don’t get hung up on perfection and like to prototype new ideas.
  • You are a proactive and self-driven person.
  • You are a 3rd-5th-year student 
  • You have good English skills and you are not afraid to use it on a daily basis
  • You are willing to learn and you have your own ideas which you would like to implement 
  • If you are a developer
    • You are versatile and learn by doing.
    • You’re comfortable writing code and have some experience working with version control tools like Git.
    • You want to work with full-stack development, including frontend, consuming APIs, hosting prototypes, etc. Practical experience would be great!
  • If you are a designer
    • You are passionate about understanding users and can identify who they are and what their needs are based on evidence. You are able to translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs and engages in meaningful interactions and relationships with users. 
    • You are able to communicate your ideas and opinions effectively. 
    • You are able to generate multiple solutions to a problem and tests them.
    • You are able to apply technical knowledge and experience to create or design workable prototypes
    • You are familiar with Adobe creative suite and/or other prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Webflow etc.

The interview process for all our internship roles will start in January 2020.
