// Who should apply?
As an engineering intern, you will be a core part of the RePack team developing our first pilot product - a battery energy storage system based on second-life EV batteries.
Being a student, we understand that work experience can be limited, so the willingness to learn and develop is key. Work hours are flexible, and the position is part-time at 10-20 hours per week (20-40%).
You will be working with our experienced founder and advisory team, an experienced consultant team doing back-end development plus 3 great interns that are focused on their respective hardware work packages.

RePack develop novel technologies to repurpose second-life EV batteries into modular battery energy storage systems in a streamlined, safe, and cost-effective way . Using second-life EV batteries, RePack estimates its battery systems to have an up to 95% lower carbon footprint compared to systems based on new battery cells. By leveraging automation and standardization through a data-driven approach, our ambition is to make battery systems a profitable and sustainable investment. Our mission is to enable maximum value generation from second-life EV batteries by repurposing them in a streamlined, safe and cost-effective way. We develop novel technologies for reassembly and operations to convert usable second life EV batteries into modular plug-and-play battery storage systems. Our ambition is to make battery storage truly accessible for a wide range of applications, including reducing peak energy demand (peak shaving), increasing self-consumption of energy from solar panels, providing critical services to grid operators and increasing available power in an environmentally friendly way to underserved locations and applications.
